The Catalan team won the final of this prestigious U-12 tournament played during the Christmas break in Miami.
The XX International Tournament of Promises Laliga traveled to the Ransom Everglades School in Miami, where some of the best teams in the world have met.
It was the twentieth edition of Laliga Tournament Promises
and it was supported by many top individuals from the world of footbal! Javier Tebas (Laliga President), Miguel Cardinal (Secretary of State for Sports) and former players Raul Gonzalez
and Patrick Kluivert
who are all Laliga ambassadors in the United States. The former players participated in an “All-Star” game with the best players of the championship.
National teams like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Valencia CF, Villarreal CF, Celta Vigo and Sevilla FC
– club supporter of MV8 FOOTBALL ACADEMY
– who reached the semi finals following some great performances which started with their opening game where they beat America Club of Mexico 7-0.
There were, also, participating teams from the international stage including; Juventus (Italy), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Crystal Palace (England), Aspire Academy (Qatar), Sagan Tosu (Japan), Chicago Fire, Orlando City, and Weston (USA), Estudiantes de la Plata (Argentina), and the aforementioned Mexican Club, America.
The Promises Laliga handed the trophy to FC Barcelona, who beat Valencia CF 4-3 in a great final. Both reached the final game after beating Sevilla and Villarreal respectively.
The Promises Laliga takes place, again, this summer in its 21st edition. It will bring us the best grassroots players from across the globe as the players reach for stardom – just like Iniesta, Fernando Torres, Ander Herrera, Pique and many more from previous tournaments!
