Sevilla FC – Five times champion of Europe

The Seville team got their fifth title of Europa League, the third consecutive, by winning the final in Basel, against Liverpool FC.

In Basel, was disputed one of those games where everyone wants to play, where we expect to see soon our MV8 Academy players, an European final between those who have become two classics of the competition, Sevilla FC 5 times champion, and Liverpool FC 3 times champion. Ten years ago, seemed impossible that Sevilla FC reached even a European final, and today is the team with the most titles of UEFA League, and the second with more European titles in the last decade, after the FC Barcelona. The team led by Unai Emery is already the most attractive of the UEFA League, and the favourite for each season to win the title. Seville FC, defeated in the end the historic Liverpool, since in the field the Spanish team was far superior in all aspects. However, the British team came ahead on the scoreboard with a goal scored by Sturridge, one of the greatest English talents for the next European Championship in France. At the end of the first half, the Red team had chances to score a second goal, that could have changed the course of the game, but the “champion luck” was on the Seville side, and after the break they changed the history. Only 30 seconds after the start of the second half, Kevin Gameiro, who has made a spectacular end of season, placed the tie on the scoreboard, after a great move of Sevilla from the right side. Thereafter, Coke scored the second goal for the red team, which plunged the Liverpool, and made the Sevilla FC have the full control of the match scoring, again through Coke, the third goal that would close the game. With the Liverpool in attacking, Seville could have scored goals by missing out several occasions, but Mignolet, the red goalkeeper, saved his team from leaving Basel humiliated. Sevilla FC, who stands as champion of Europa League, is waiting for the final of Copa del Rey against FC Barcelona, and for the rival of the European Super Cup, to be played in August against the Champions League winner. Congratulations Seville FC!
